From the Doole Vineyard in McLaren Vale, this warm climate Cabernet, typically full of flavour, spent time in French oak. It offers terrific value for those who want a wine drinking well above its weight for their next gourmet barbecue. Dark maroon in colour, we have aromas weaving through black fruits, crushed herbs, coffee grinds, licorice and dark chocolate. A wine of medium length which is well structured with juicy acidity and fine, sleek tannins. The palate sees the emergence of some delicatessen meat characters. Top notch enjoyment any time over the next eight to ten years.
