Bindi Quartz Chardonnay served as a forebear of the linear, pungent, mineral-infused style that defines the contemporary Australian template. The caveat, however, is that, unlike others that pushed the envelope too far, this sumptuous wine suffered no dearth of flavour from its inception until today. The wine brims with orchard and stone fruits sewn taut by judicious oak and cool-climate tension, as authoritative as sheerly delicious. The fealty to the meagre half-hectare-quartz-smattered block manifests as a stamp of uncanny persistence and tensile length.
