About this product

A darker, more textural expression of Gippsland Pinot Noir from the Myrtle Point Vineyard. Aromas and flavours of black cherry, dark plum and rhubarb are layered with earthy spice and subtle French oak. Silky and seductive on the palate, the wine shows fine tannins, bright acidity and an elegant, savoury finish. Fermented in open tanks with whole bunch inclusion to enhance structure and aromatics, the wine spent time maturing in French oak barriques (20% new) where malolactic fermentation and ageing added complexity and texture. Crafted to express the cool, maritime terroir of the Gippsland Lakes region, this Pinot Noir balances purity of fruit with savoury depth.
