The 2013 Icon from Laurance is a glossy and supple release and looks great for the contrast. The flavour weight is there, and the shiny freshness to the fruits show that the wine is still on an upward trajectory. Rich and delicious Margaret River Cabernet with blackcurrant flesh, bay leaf-lined tannins, violets. Supple and medium bodied, with toasty cedar/praline oak. Looks the goods.
