"Hand-picked fruit from the 2.2ha single-estate East Block vineyard in Greenock. No whole bunches. Wild fermented initially, hand plunged and basket pressed. Matured 20 months in 40% new French, 40% seasoned French, 10% new American and 10% seasoned American oak hogsheads. Released unfined and unfiltered. 629 dozen. Full, vibrant purple. The plush, sweet fruit and milk-chocolate core that signifies Greenock is scaffolded masterfully in a web of firm tannins, both fruit- and oak-derived. Red and blue fruits of all kinds abound, set to a bright line of natural acidity that keeps everything on track through a long finish.
