About this product

Komagatake is Mars single malt range, and Kohiganzakura is the second release in the ‘’Nature of Shinshu’’ Series having being distilled in 2013, and then blended with some single malt whisky distilled some 20 years ago. Kohiganzakura is the name of a mountain flower found in the Nagano prefecture near the distillery.

Great balance and aromatic ... little drop of water will bring out more flavour

This is not the Komagatake of old. I think the blending of the 5yo whisky with the older stock leads to a rawness which masks completely the floral notes this whisky used to exhibit. Disappointing.
I wouldn't recommend to a friend
