Margaret River merlot just has a cool, drying maritime influence that quells the overt simplicity and fruit forward nature of many eastern state offerings, whilst retaining the Bordeaux-like structural depth worthy of admiration. This one has dried plums, pommegranate, cranberry, neatly framed tannin; all poised and medium bodied. Excellent length.
