LauranceRed Cabernet Merlot 2012
About this product
Aromas of cassis, cherry glaze and raspberries lead to a dark fruit core of blackcurrants and mulberry jam. Hints of violets, plum blossoms and vanilla pod accompany fresh, coating tannins on the entry and a firm, persistent finish with a mineral afterthought.

60% cabernet sauvignon, 27% merlot, 13% malbec, machine-harvested, matured for 18 months in French oak (40% new). Good colour; has more substance and structure than the disarmingly simple name would suggest; excellent colour, oak and tannins also adding a dimension to the wine.

Maturity and integration; more earthen and secondary. Mocha and dark chocolate notes with forest floor complexity. Ageing and showing lovely energy at the same time. Smooth as silk though brimming with intensity. A wonderful drink.
