It is intense and the palate is dark and brooding with delicious fruitcake and more dark fruit flavours. The tannins are opulent and elegant. The wine is Iconic and finishes with some well balanced cherry-skin acidity.

Machine-harvested, 40 days on skins, pressed, matured in French oak (50% new) for 18 months. Deep crimson-purple; densely structured and textured, no surprise given the vinification. Simply not ready any time soon, but does have balance, and the patient will be handsomely rewarded.
