About this product

Among the best value appellations in Burgundy, Savigny-les-Beaune is the third biggest appellation by production in the Côte de Beaune. Two styles exist at the 1er Cru level; delicate fine boned wines produced from south-facing vineyards on the northern end of the appellation and rounder, fuller, more forward styles hailing from east-facing vineyards found in the south of the appellation.
A dark-fruited, fuller more forward style of Savigny, the 1er Cru Fourneaux vineyard is situated on a gentle slope with an ideal south-west exposure. Anchored on marl and limestone soils, 1er Cru Fourneaux is situated adjacent to the famous Vergelesses and Lavières vineyards.
Firm and fleshy with a silky palate. Vibrant aromatic complexity with ripe red fruits and a touch of spices. Dense and rich mouthfeel.
