Dominique MugneretEchezeaux 'En Orveaux' Grand Cru 2013
About this product
Domaine Dominique Mugneret is located in Vosne-Romanee, the most illustrious wine village on earth. The Mugneret family is one of the large families in Vosne-Romanee. There are now four domains in the family: Mongeard Mugneret, Dominique Mugneret, Gerard Mugneret and George Mugneret Gibourg.
The Echezeaux Grand Crus are located above the Clos de Vougeot between Vosne and Chambolle. Like the Clos de Vougeot, the Echezeaux vineyards were cultivated by Cistercian monks until the French Revolution. Like the Clos, Echezeaux (40ha) is large and diverse. The northern vineyards border Chambolle Musigny, the southern Vosne Romanee. The location on the Cote is also relevant: higher = colder and poorer soil, lower = warmer and more clay. Dominique has a nice piece in En Orveaux, directly adjacent to Le Musigny.
