About this product

The Old Salem Church was built with humble claystone in 1856. Whilst it was destroyed in the flood of 1946, Old Salem lives on in the memorial stone laid in our neighbouring vineyard and in the grapes harvested from it. These are blended with carefully selected premium grapes from other longstanding Barossa family growers to create this distinctive Barossa Shiraz. This rich Shiraz has an intense nose of satsuma plum, blackberry, spice and hints of menthol. The palate holds concentrated flavours of plum, dark berries, dark chocolate and aniseed, while new French and American oak provides balance and support to the intensity of the fruit.
