58% Barossa Valley cabernet sauvignon (from Williamstown, Krondorf and Light Pass), 42% Barossa Valley shiraz (from Truro, Nuriootpa and Light Pass, including 1925, 1935 and 1945 plantings). Wild-yeast fermentation to start. Matured 22 months in 23% new French, Hungarian and American oak barriques and hogsheads. Embracing Yalumba's deep reach in to the great sites of the Barossa, this cool vintage was sourced entirely from the Valley floor. Compact, concentrated and exact, cabernet's varietal integrity takes a bright, fragrant, compelling lead. Impressive black-fruit depth is backed by a splay of superfine, enduring tannins. Testimony to the blending wizardry of Yalumba, this is one of the wines of the vintage and one of the greats of the hallowed Signature lineage.
