WoodlandsThomas Cabernet Sauvignon 2012
About this product
2012 saw near perfect ripening conditions in Margaret River, with warm dry conditions from February onwards ripening the fruit to perfection. This wine is a blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Malbec and 1% Cabernet Franc. The colour is a deep crimson. The nose is dense and brooding, with red and black fruits, dark chocolate and toasty barrel notes. The palate is supple, balanced and refined, with fine-grained tannins running the length. A very aristocratic wine, it is an absolute classic.

Vintage 2012
98 points
Cabernet plus 3% malbec and 1% cabernet franc is matured for 21 months in 100% new French oak. Bright crimson; the wine nearly escapes under the radar, until it starts accelerating on the mid-palate and hurtles through the finish and aftertaste, drawing saliva as the intensity of cassis, earth, black olive and cedar spear through the mouth.'
