With its pure blackberry, sage and black pepper aromas, underlying savoury complexity and fine lacy tannins Henschke Mount Edelstone is one of Australia’s great single vineyard wines. The wine is vinified in "headed-down" open fermenters and completes fermentation in a combination of new and seasoned French and American hogsheads. A further 20 to 22 months maturation in the same oak takes place prior to blending and bottling. Delicious upon release, Mount Edelstone typically reaches optimum maturity after five to 15 years.
