Aromas of ripe plum, spicy oak, and blackberry - yep all of that and a lot more. A really smooth all round red that everyone that tasted at the table gave a nod of appreciation to. Recommend it and the Union White Blend is pretty good too.

Hard to work out the blend to call this a Rhone shiraz or a Bordeaux red in a less tannic mode. My guess, from knowledge of the Hawkes Bay region, it's a Cabernet, Merlot and some Shiraz thrown in that gives the spice. For those who prefer
