Balthazar's 75 acre vineyard rises above Stonewell Road, Marananga, in the western Barossa sub-region. Ironstone and clay soils producing small parcels of intensely flavoured wine grapes, from which the best are selected to make this wine. Named in honour of Balthazar, the last of the Babylonian Kings.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.
