Like all good McLaren Vale cabernets, this wine has gained much from careful cellaring. The plump and supple fruit has gained weight and depth of flavour. Black currants, red currants, mulberries, spice, cedar and mint flavours have all been brought into alignment by time in the bottle. A timeless, well structured red demanding char-grilled meat.

Good colour; the bouquet has marked spice and cedar aromas, but blackcurrant storms through on the medium to full-bodied palate; it has the tannin profile expected of cabernet, so a modicum of patience will be well rewarded. Very good style, a sneaky juicy note on the last taste getting an extra point.
