Typically Penfolds, typically fully flavoured, if a little restrained, with a medium to full body. Meaty mataro aromas distinguish themselves at first sniff. Deeper analysis reveals elements of dusty dried herb over licorice and chocolate flecked dark berry fruit. Pepper spice is prominent on the finish. No need to cellar any longer, but if you forget to drink it over the next couple of years - no harm done. (Tasted August 2023).
