Johnnie Walker Select Casks,Rye Cask Finish is the 10 year-old, chill-filtered blended Scotch whisky finished in ex-rye casks. It was designed to combine the flavour characteristics of bourbon and rye with some of the classic signature notes and smoothness of Johnnie Walker.

I was looking for a different flavour having bought Johnnie Walker in various guises for many years. It was a nice surprise and the oaky flavours from the barrels in which the whisky has been matured made it an interesting drink.

Not a huge fan of most JW scotch, but this is different. I bought it originally to make old fashioneds (for which it is perfect) and ended up drinking it as my regular straight scotch. Great value for money.
