About this product

The Houghton story goes back as far as 1836 and since those early beginnings, they have been responsible for some of the finest wines made in Australia. The Late Picked Verdelho shows aromas of tropical fruit leading to a palate that is full, soft and fruity with good texture. A very versatile wine, try with spicy Thai dishes or crème caramel.

If you prefer sweeter wines you cannot go wrong with this one, be sweet, but not overly so and pleasant on the tougue

Houghton Sweet Classic has been a favourite of mine for many years, even with another title. Served cold, with a sweet flavour, dare I say with a block of ice on a hot summers night, it is a most enjoyable drop, or two!

I am a sweet wine drinker and this sweet wine chilled is so easy to drink and thoroughly enjoy. Do not feel seedy or any other effects the next day.

Served well chilled this is a delightful sweet wine enjoyed on a summer's evening/night. I'm having mine with mixed roasted nuts and it's absolutely yum. I'll be heading back to the shops to get a few more bottles.
