Weihenstephan's 1516 Kellerbier celebrates 500 years of Reinheitsgebot or the German Beer Purity Law. Coming from Bavaria's Weihenstephan Brewery, the world's oldest existing brewery, the beer is brewed using only local ingredients and is matured in Weihenstephan's historic cellars. Naturally cloudy, the fresh and fruity aroma combines with a well balanced malt body - a wonderfully mild and smooth beer.

At first, the beer was very strong. Not one of my usual types of beer but after a little while I got accustomed to the strong taste and enjoyed it. It's not your usual beer but it's definitely a great refreshing beer.
