Pesquie TerrassesVentoux Rouge
About this product
Pesquie Terrasses consistently produces classy and character-full reds that punch well above their weight in terms of price. The historic Château Pesquie estate, owned by the Chaudiere family is located just to the east of the Avignon/Châteauneuf du Pape area, but it sits at an average altitude of about 300 meters, making it slightly cooler. This climate helps create wines that are not porty or jammy, but still have great generosity of flavour and spicy richness. The vineyards are a mix of various terroirs from gravely soil covered with limestone rocks to soils with iron oxides sands and clays. The organic estate is planted with 60% grenache and 40% syrah (with some traces of carignan, cinsault and mourvedre).
