Nonna Gisella sounds like everyone's idea of a wonderful grandmother. So, too, is the wine that takes her name: warm hearted, generous, offering up one big hug of sangiovese delight. It's cherries galore, raspberry, pressed flowers and thyme with just a whisper of balsamic. Good value all round. Nonna would approve.

When you name a wine after your nonna you’re going to make it the best it can be. RightWhen you name a wine after your nonna you’re going to make it the best it can be. Right? The masters of Italian varieties, Pizzini, certainly outdid themselves this time. The 2022 is so effortlessly delicious, it’s incredible! Dark cherry, plum, blueberry, framboise, savoury notes, and velvety tannins, fill the mid-palate and everywhere else, besides. It’s so gentle, juicy and food friendly - smashable, actually. “This is a great example of how good Australian Sangiovese can be in the right hands. Get on board.” - Gary Braidner, Dan Murphy Wine Panel Co-ordinator. The masters of Italian varieties, Pizzini, certainly outdid themselves this time.
