GreenstoneRosso di Colbo Sangiovese
About this product
Where wines that do not meet the rigorous standards of the 'Riserva' they are re-classified as Rosso di Montalcino. Ergo, when the vintage conditions are not perfect, Greenstone declassify the fruit into the Rosso di Colbo label like this Sangiovese. The wine walks a delicious line between authentic red cherry juiciness, savoury complexity and supple yet grippy tannins. Throws off scents of small, mashed-up cherries made all the more enticing by subtle earl grey smokiness and other earth-derived aromatics. The palate is radiant and fresh on entry, exhibiting chinotto-spiked cherry, tobacco and mineral flavours of considerable finesse. You may also find there is a snap of plum skin on the finish.
