The property was acquired in October 1997 by Christopher Cannan of Europvin on the recommendation of René Barbier, owner of the renown Clos Mogador estate and founder of the +new wave+ Priorat movement during the late 1980's. Serras del Priorat by Clos Figueras, a blend of Cabernet, Carignan and Grenache.
