About this product

The Gaja Winery was founded by Giovanni Gaja in 1859 and has been owned and operated by five generations of the Gaja family. Gaja's Sorì San Lorenzo is a dark brooding giant. The first of the crus to be bottled individually in 1967, Sorì San Lorenzo typically requires the most patience of the three bottlings, but its intense Nebbiolo aromatics, velvety mouth-feel and sensuous, complex palate reward a wine-lover's restraint. Concentrated, powerful and masculine, Sorì San Lorenzo usually shows brambly fruit, smoke, espresso or mocha, and fresh herbs. It's dense, layered, complex, and utterly swoon-worthy.
