It's hard to know whether to laugh or cry when tasting this very good, conventionally made gruner veltliner simply because there is no (real) comparison. This wine has great texture and structure that fit seamlessly with nashi pear, additional arugula and root vegetables. You don't have to suffer 100 lashes of the cat o' nine tails to try to get your head around all this.
