Luigi PiraBarbera d'Alba 2011
About this product
Gianpaolo Piras winemaking style is a mix of traditional and modern, resulting in vibrant, sleek reds with dark colours and powerful personalities. He uses a mix of large and small oak as framing, not for aroma or flavour, but to show the dark, smoky spice of Serralunga in full force. Margheria is the most elegant of the Pira Barolos, showing an intense but lighter colour, fragrances of flowers and strawberry, sappiness and the gripping Serralunga palate.
