The classic ageworthy Cape Mentelle Cabernet Sauvignon, with its beautiful fragrance, purity of fruit, structure and vitality, has played a significant part in shaping Margaret River’s premium wine image. Intense red and blackcurrant characters, fragrant violet, dried herb notes and fine sinewy tannins are hallmarks of the style. Further fruit complexity and richness develops with age. It is is now a 100% single vineyard wine. Vinification is gentle with each batch gently basket pressed into 40 to 50% new and one year-old French oak for a maturation period of around 16-18 months.
