A compelling rendition; the engaging bouquet shows blackcurrant, dried herb, game, floral and cedar characters, which lead to a concentrated palate that is focused and weighty. It is confident and substantial, while remaining brilliantly structured and harmonious with silky texture and fine, chalky tannins, finishing persistent and flowing. A blend of cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc.

Hand-picked and sorted, includes 13.5% cabernet franc. The colour lacks depth and conviction, but the palate springs a surprise with the precision of its juicy, cassis-accented power. It is medium-bodied, but its array of fruit, oak (45% new for 20 months), tannin and acidity flavours brook no argument.
