Its vibrancy and freshness point to its cool climate origin, and to a deliberate choice to pick before there was any loss of bright red fruit flavours and good acidity; French oak has been held in appropriate restraint. Best enjoyed young

This is a worthy example. Indeed if you’re a pinot fancier then I’d recommend that you grab a bottle to try; it’s an interesting style and the price is good. Stringy herbs and tannins, macerated cherries, woodsmoke and rubbery/reductive notes. Firm and dry. I can see this developing very nicely over the medium term.
