Pinot noir from one of the treasures of Australian wine. Balance is the key though there’s more to it than that. Florals, the array of assorted flavours, the unforced feel, the firmness, the clip of cedarwood, the linger. It’s refreshing and frisky but it’s not over-eager; it’s not deep-coloured but there’s some brood to the palate, some stew, which will no doubt help as it develops over time. Bang on. A class. Cellar it with confidence.

Destemmed, 7 days on skins, 18 months in barrel (40% new oak) bottled unfined and unfiltered. A bright, sparkling crimson-purple and enticing; so too the aromas of florals, red fruits and some woodsy spices, the oak perfectly integrated. It's deceptive at first at it feels effortless and lighter bodied, which it is, but it builds adding layers of fine tannin, more fruit and cleansing acidity.
