Dry, Light Bodied style of Pinot NoirIndependent wineryThis single-site Pinot Noir from the Shadowfax Materson Road vineyard in Macedon shows typical Waterson aromatics of dark cherries and black plums. A hint of attractive spice shows with time in the glass. A powerful palate with intensity and drive. Black fruits, bright cherry, spice and cinnamon. The tannins are very fine and layered, building to a crescendo at the finish. Flavours follow from front to back, with wonderful flourish. A warmer expression of Waterson Road, that is delicious now but with structure to age gracefully for a decade.

Light bodied red wines have a water-light mouthfeel and light flavour impact. Often pale to light/medium in colour.
