DonnhoffPinot Gris
About this product
Grown on the sloping sites of the middle Nahe region in weathered volcanic soil and loess loam. The age of vines is about 30 years, with yields of about 50 hl/ha. Selective hand harvest. The wine spends about six months maturing in a classic large barrels made of German oak resulting in a characterful, robust Pinot Gris. Dry but not austere, fleshy but not fat. Ageing in a large wooden barrel lends the wine character without detracting from the fine aroma of the grapes.
