Pinot from estate source and Mark II (Pisa) and Northburn (Northburn) sub-regions. Fleshy, fuller figured Otago pinot expression, laden with ripe cherry fruits, sweet spice, some earthy-charry characters, and an orange-y acidity. While ostensibly ‘fruitier’ it’s also quite firmly in the amaro-Campari spectrum of pinot, hemmed with chalky tannins, driving with authority across the palate. Loaded with character/structure. Good, bold wine this.
