Bright, sweet berry fruit character, lifted anise and licorice sour/sweetness, complexity from leafy/dried herb elements. Like this perfume. Slurpy and juicy textured, ease of drinking high. Bright, ripe, shiny berry fruit character over a tug of graphite-like minerality that builds into chalky pucker. Firms up well and oak is giving definition to the wine. Delicious drinking and quietly complex.

New Zealand''s take on cool-climate Shiraz from the nation''s most iconic producer. At over 5-years of age time in the cellar has barely moved the dial, a testament to the quality inputs of this wine. A sturdy frame of blackcurrant, pastille and graphite, upon a bed of sage and damp earth. It''s a unique sub-regional expression from the lauded Gimblett Gravels site. Only a fool would not decant this wine for many hours, then drink with a charry piece of finest rib-eye.
