Lapis Luna (Latin for “Stone and Moon”) Wines’ stunning labels are created from 400 year-old copperplate engravings. They depict the “the faceless hero”: a timeless story of struggle, aspiration, and redemption, reflecting the hero’s journey to reach their goal. The Lapis Luna’s motto "Reach for the Moon" imparts the quality of turning everyday moments into joyful gifts and creating objects of beauty that bear the mystery of life’s never-ending journey. Sourced from selected vineyards from the Californian North Coast viticultural area and made from five Burgundian Pinot Noir clones. Fruit expression was the focus in the winemaking, as reflected by the high proportion of whole berries in the ferment and the low percentage of new oak (10%) used. Ripe red cherries, juicy boysenberries, with aromatic notes of purple flowers and sweet baking spices. The palate is juicy, smooth and polished, with velvety tannins and a fresh-fruited finish.
