The concentration of fruit in this 2019 The Medhyk Shiraz is evident from the very first sniff. It is pungent with raspberries, blackberries, salted licorice, star anise, pink peppercorns, char, tea, blood and even sun-dried tomatoes. In the mouth, the wine is exactly this. It’s a wonderful, delicious, complex wine with hutzpah and balance in equal measure. Drink it or cellar it-your call.
