Antonin RodetBourgogne Pinot Noir
About this product
The name Antonin Rodet has been synonomous with Mercurey in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise since 1875, when the house was founded by Antoine Rodet, known as Antonin. The Clos Rodet, a 17th Century bourgeois mansion situated in the heart of the village, embodies the House's historical heart, cellar and values. For decades, the visionary Rodet family invested in one of the oldest terroirs in Burgundy, which culminated with an award at the Universal Exhibition in 1900.
The grapes for the Bourgogne Pinot Noir are harvested primarily in the south of Burgundy from the vineyards of the Mâconnais and Côte Chalonnaise.
Bright cherry red in appearance, with expressive aromas of cherry and strawberry. Round and deliciously pure-fruited on the palate, with soft, silky tannins and flavours that persist long into the aftertaste. Ideal served with a plate of cured meats, pastry, pies or pâtés, beef bourguignon, or Camembert.
