This is good. Angular of tannin, the oak at the forefront; a little soupy, too, with scents of smoked meat and charcuterie lathered with sage, dried blackcurrant and a swab of black olive paste. Yet as it sits in the glass, and I cogitate on this and the meaning of it all, it coalesces. A distinctly (very) warm-climate wine that will, I believe, age well. Time is on the wine's side and mine. Dense, sure, but there is an uncanny freshness and welcome poise.

Lots of currants, berries and flowers with some salted caramel character. Delicious already. Medium to full body. Creamy round tannins and a flavorful finish. Very drinkable now at this young stage. But better in a two or three years. Drink after 2024.
