Vintage 2018
95 points
From a fabulous vintage and from the excellent regions of Eden Valley and Southern Barossa, the 2018 Shadrach makes an immediate bold varietal statement. Classic black currant, blackberry, a touch of leaf, balsamic notes and woody herbs define this, very definitely, as a quality Barossa cabernet destined for a long life. Warm spices, charry oak and firm tannins all provide additional character and interest for fans of these full flavoured Barossa "cabs".

Deep crimson. Intense blackcurrant, dark plum, mulberry aromas with hint of cedar/ mocha. Well balanced claret-style with ample blackcurrant dark plum fruits, persistent brambly/ al dente textures, attractive mocha/ cedar oak complexity and integrated fresh acidity. Builds up firm at the finish with bittersweet/ chinotto notes. Medium powered wine with very good amplitude and torque. Drink now – 2032 14.5% alc 95 points
