Blackish purple. Very reticent but clearly harbouring many secrets. Lovely combination of sweet and salt. Is it suspiciously approachable? It certainly hasn't developed much of a bouquet but all the elements are there and there is a magnificent peacock's tail of aromas on the end which promises well. But it's a modernist approach to Hermitage, which some may object to. Meaning you won't have to wait for years before opening this. But it's a powerhouse, without being forced or overwhelming.
