85% Marsanne, 15% Roussanne aged 30–40 years from Les Oliviers sur Mauves, La Ribaudy sur Chavanay and La Roue sur St-Jean-de-Muzols. Aged for 12 months in new, one- and two-year-old barrels. To be launched autumn 2021. Cask sample.
Very deep colour, sort of pale apricot. Very distinctive. Smells like a natural wine! Positively funky! It's a strong statement of green undergrowth and greengages on the nose and long-aged, wrinkly apples. A very interesting wine indeed. Fills the palate and stands apart from the rest of the Tardieu Laurent whites. Long. Appetising.
