Splitting Hares Tempranillo Grenache 2022

Often the smallest winemaking decisions make the biggest impact, and none more so than crafting a blend of two very different varieties. Perfect balance is only achieved at a single point, so tiny differences can tip the scales, leaving one to dominate the other. Making this wine came down to splitting hairs as we tweaked the proportions of the blend in tiny one percent increments until the perfect balance was achieved. This is the exact point at which the juicy, fragrant Grenache just tames the savoury chewiness of the Tempranillo.
