The New Zealand Whisky Company are the forefront of the revival of the New Zealand whisky industry. The flagbearer is The New Zealand DoubleWood Whisky. Aged for 10 years in both American oak and French Pinot Noir barrels, this new world whisky has delicate floral and fruit notes with a hint of toffee on the nose followed by a extraordinary explosion of flavours on the palate. A creamy malt texture with subtle vanilla characters all finished with a hint of dried fruits and nuts.

Fantastic drop of whisky. Was a huge fan of Johnny Walker Blue Label but now only drink this smooth, pure drop of heaven.

Great flavours with a smooth finish. It is not a strong whisky and for someone who does not drink a lot of whisky I found this very pleasant. It is not a harsh whisky and does not need anything added to it to enjoy its great flavours

Not sure if its from the double-barrelling or the long time in oak, but i've never known a whisky to have such a creaming-soda taste that dances around the palate, with a drying finish to makes me always want to enjoy another taste!
