Château AusoneSaint-milion 2008
About this product
Château Ausone was named after the Roman poet Ausonius in the 18th century and Roman ruins still exist on the grounds of the Château. In 1976, Pascal Delbeck took control and Ausone's reputation has soared. The 2008 has been lauded by influencial critics as possible the best wine of the vintage! Wonderful attractive fruit up front with typical refined acidity and structure. Not only drinking well today, but will develop magnificently over a decade or more.

98 points Wine Advocate Jr
Possibly the 'wine of the vintage,' With great fruit on the attack and ...a skyscraper-like finish, this prodigious effort over-delivers, even for this phenomenal terroir.
