Rolf BinderHanisch Shiraz 1998
About this product
Lying on the western slopes of the famous Barossa Valley, Rolf Binder's Hanisch vineyard has produced low-yielding, deeply complex Shiraz since planting of vines on the ancient soils began in the 1970s. The vineyard is named for 'Punch' Hanisch who tendered the land from the 1930s and establishing vineyard plantings. 1998 was a landmark year in the Barossa, proof of which can be tasted in this single vineyard Shiraz. The foundations and structure are clearly evident still to this day and a wonderful fragrant fruit backbone gives the wine an almost ethereal feel.
