Such a good style of wine. Smoke, meat and (almost exaggerated) dry spice notes run headlong into raspberry, black cherry and anise. Life, lift, savouriness and guts. Aftertaste of warm saltbush. At the dinner table or by itself; it just works. No hesitation on this one.

A 48/28/24% estate-grown blend of shiraz, grenache and mataro. It has the gravitas more often encountered in McLaren Vale than the Barossa Valley in its display of predominantly black fruits and absence of confection; it is only medium-bodied, but has immaculate fruit/tannin/oak balance and integration. As ever, over-delivers on price.
