Yattarna Chardonnay 2005

Penfolds Yattarna is the result of one of the most comprehensive wine development programs ever conducted in Australia. The aspiration of the late Max Schubert to create a white wine that would one day rival the standards of Grange. The name Yattarna comes from the aboriginal word meaning 'little by little, gradually' reflecting the continued commitment to this goal and to further raise the quality bar with each vintage. The 2005, continues the legacy with a substantial palate of layered complexity, finely balanced with mineral, slate flavours. With careful cellaring this wine will develop more complexity and integration of flavours.
